The statewide Consumer Advisory Committee (CAC) advises OOD on its vocational rehabilitation programs. This volunteer body is comprised of people who have received services from OOD or their family members have received services from OOD. Members are expected to provide input on OOD programs and to be community advocates for Ohioans with disabilities.   CAC members serve for three year terms providing an important service to both OOD and Ohioans with disabilities.

The mission of the CAC is to:

  • Provide input to OOD on policies and practices providing quality assurance feedback;
  • Educate local communities on the valuable services OOD provides;
  • Advocate on behalf of people with disabilities.

Those eligible and interested in serving on the CAC can contact OOD Community Relations Liaison Shirley Marchi at shirley.marchi@ood.ohio.gov or 614-438-1477.
