Disability:IN Ohio, in partnership with Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities, is a peer-to-peer network of Ohio employers who are committed to employing individuals with disabilities. Disability:IN Ohio is a statewide affiliate of the national Disability:IN organization.
Disability:IN Ohio’s mission statement: Through a robust peer network of business practitioners, we provide employers with valuable information and resources to support their disability initiatives.
HOW: This is accomplished through increasing awareness, advising corporations and sharing proven strategies for including people with disabilities in the workplace, supply chain, and marketplace.
Companies receive assistance to invigorate their disability initiatives, explore best practices, incorporate culture changes, and realize positive business outcomes.
WHO: Disability:IN Ohio member companies span a multitude of enterprise categories. Healthcare, financial services, education, government, consumer products, retail, logistics and employment services are represented in the Disability:IN Ohio leadership. The organization serves as a continuous business forum devoted to sharing the best practices of companies who have successfully employed Ohioans with disabilities.
Disability:IN Ohio provides employer-focused training programs at the workplace, regional networking events, and webinars.
In addition, Disability:IN Ohio can help federal contractors meet their Section 503 requirements by connecting them to qualified job candidates with disabilities, through its partnership with Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities.
