Enhanced Service Coverage Update March 20, 2023

OOD has received a positive reception to the new Critical Need Rate (CNR) service implemented on October 1, 2022. The CNR was developed by the Bureau of Services for the Visually Impaired (BSVI) to support and encourage enhanced statewide service coverage, especially for individuals who are blind or visually impaired and those who are Deaf or hard of hearing.

Significant Incident Reporting

Providers are required to complete the Significant Incident Report Form (SIRF) within 24 hours of a reportable, significant incident/issue which affects and/or poses a threat to the safety, health and/or welfare of individuals receiving services from OOD.
