Hello Vocational Rehabilitation Providers:
Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) has previously required a frequent Provider Acknowledgement (PA) form to be completed and more recently moved to an October 1 annual schedule for simplification. The recent update to Rule 3304-2-53 “Qualifications and standards for service providers and vendors” details this change to the October 1 schedule. The PA, which is now available online through the Provider Management Program (PMP), no longer requires printing, a wet signature, or scanning. Simple online electronic initialing completes the PA.
Providers have a few options this year for renewing the PA;
- If your Provider Credentials are expiring prior to October 1, Providers should submit a “Certification Renewal” and initial the PA before submitting.
- If your Provider Credentials are not expiring, complete a “Demographic Change Request.” Please be sure to review the information in the change request to ensure all information is up to date, then proceed with reviewing and initialing the PA before submitting the change request.
As you access the PMP to complete the PA, OOD requests that providers take this opportunity to review service area coverage, contact information, and service offerings. It is an important part of informed choice and provider selection to have accurate information in the PMP, as this information is displayed to users in the Provider Search. Referrals to providers for services that are no longer being provided and/or for areas that are no longer being covered can create service delays for participants.
As part of this review of service offerings, if you are a provider who offers Transportation services (including in conjunction with services such as Summer Youth Work Experience), please ensure this is noted correctly in the PMP. If Providers do not currently have Transportation as a service listed in the PMP, but plan to provide or already provide Transportation, please complete a “Service/County Change Request” to add Transportation to your service list. Please review the information in the change request to ensure all other information is up to date, then proceed with reviewing and initialing the PA before submitting the change request.
