Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD), like all state agencies, is governed by the Ohio Revised Code (ORC) and the Ohio Administrative Code (OAC) as well as federal regulations and codes.  Stakeholders are encouraged to participate in the process of adopting, amending, or rescinding rules in the OAC in order to ensure that OOD meets the needs of individuals with disabilities.

OOD policies are developed based on the ORC, OAC, and other governing state agencies, such as the Department of Administrative Services (DAS) and the Office of Budget and Management (OBM).

All policies are regularly reviewed, and if revisions are required, a policy will be posted for public comment prior to becoming effective. If anyone wishes to submit comments, please include in the subject line of email, Policy number and Title, and send to OOD.PolicyPublicComment@ood.ohio.gov.

Individuals may also send comments, at any time, on any policy or procedure using the above email.
