Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors are available at OOD offices located throughout the state of Ohio to assist individuals with disabilities. Counselors at these local offices can assist individuals with disabilities determine if they qualify to receive services from OOD.
Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) provides counseling and guidance to individuals with disabilities who are seeking employment to jointly choose an employment goal based on strengths, resources, priorities, concerns, capabilities and interests. A thorough, objective understanding of your assets and liabilities, and of employment opportunities, is a prerequisite in planning.

As a multi-agency collaborative, Project SEARCH involves several entities, including Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD), the Ohio Department of Education, local education agencies, county boards of developmental disabilities, business partners and providers.
Transition-specific services provided by Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) are designed to help students with disabilities (herein referred to as “students”) successfully transition from school to work.
